Be Strong and Bolton Wanderers joined forces to bring together men from all over Bolton to play football to combat the decline in mens health across the borough. I must say it was a very well organised and friendly environment.
The Be Strong project is committed to empowering individuals to commit to their health and well being and become vaulable members of society.
People from all age groups are welcome at Be Strong. Today a group of men 18 to 50 years old took part. Everyone gets on well and we have a great laugh – mostly at my expense !!
Be Strong & Bolton Wanderers will meet every Monday at 10:15am to help men become fitter and create new friendships.
Come along and get involved!
Further team bonding sessions included a trip to the Reebok Stadium with the Be Strong crew to watch Bolton Wanderers v Wolves. The lads loved the experience of not only watching a Premier League football match but also gave the lads the opportunity to have a relaxed and chilled out evening with likeminded people. There will be other opportunities to visit the Reebok in the future and I hope they will all be as successful as this one.
This visit was made possible through the kindness of Bolton Wanderers FC Community Trust who are working in partnership with the Be Strong project.
Clients will be given the opportunity to do their level 1 & 2 FA coaching badges and play football twice weekly with lads from the trust.
